We get many questions about attending a Catholic school, as many families who are interested are not necessarily Catholic. We hope that this page provides answers to some of the more common questions we have received. However, should you have additional questions not answered here or elsewhere, please do not hesitate to contact us as we are more than happy to assist!
Does our family and/or our child(ren) have to be Catholic to attend?
No-we welcome families and students of many faiths to our school. All students do participate in our theology classes and in various other liturgical events.
Does our child have to be baptized to attend?
No, they do not. Should you wish to have your child baptized in the Catholic church at some point, you will be directed to discuss this with our priest. The same goes for Reconciliation and Holy Communion (students must be baptized in the Catholic church and have had 1st Reconciliation/Communion before they can participate in these two sacraments). We work with students and families to help all better understand the sacraments and how they can still participate in some way, even if they are not Catholic.
Do you teach other subjects besides theology?
Yes, in addition to theology, we teach math, science, social studies/history, and ELA (reading/writing). We are accredited through the Michigan Non-public Schools Accreditation Association (MNSAA). We also offer art, PE, music, choir, orchestra, and robotics.
