Welcome to St. Stanislaus Preschool. We are a fully licensed preschool and offer a full range of learning opportunities for our families to meet the needs of our students, including Early Learners, Prekindergarten, and Young 5's. All levels participate in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a hands-on approach to early theological learning.
Our preschool students are a vital part of our school community. They actively engage in a variety of school activities, such as Mass, liturgical celebrations, holiday parties, and pairing with older students as buddies, among many others. We focus on nurturing the theological, academic, and social development of each child, aiming to foster their growth in every aspect of their early learning journey.

Early Learners & Prekindergarten
For students 3 to 4 years old and toilet trained.
Early Learners (3 year olds) concentrate on fine motor skills, numbers, colors, shapes, and letters.
Prekindergarten (those 4 by Dec. 1) students continue to develop their fine motor skills, early literacy and numeracy, and the foundational abilities necessary for success in Kindergarten.
Learn basic prayers and participate in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, liturgical celebrations, and Mass.
- Engage in the program Drawing Children into Reading (dcir.org).
- Schedule includes structured play, academic time, choice time, outdoor exploration, individual and small group skill reinforcement, and rest time (adjusted for individual needs).
Learn to work and play with others and peacefully resolve conflict within the context of our faith.
Early Learners (3 year olds) may attend 2 - 5 full or half days.
- Prekindergarten students may attend 3 - 5 full or half days, but are strongly encouraged to attend full days the second half of the year.

Young 5's
For students who are 5, or who will soon be 5, but would benefit from a transitional year before entering Kindergarten.
Will spend part of the day in the Prekindergarten room and other part in the Kindergarten room.
- Engage in the program Drawing Children into Reading (dcir.org).
- Participate in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, liturgical celebrations, and weekly Mass.
Emphasis on reinforcement of skills-social and academic.
Students are required to attend 5 full days.
Tuition for Young 5's is the same as tuition for K-8.

4 half days: $2268/yr. $189/mo.
5 half days: $2835/yr. $236.25/mo.
* Preschool Discount: Additional preschool students each receive a 20% discount.
2 full days: $2268/yr. $189/mo.
3 full days: $3402/yr. $283.50/mo.
4 full days: $4536/yr. $378/mo.
5 full days: $5670/yr. $472.50/mo.NOTE about changes in cost:
Starting fall 2025, our preschool/Young 5's program will involve more structure and preparation for your child's future learning. Afternoon enrichment is now going to be considered a part of a full day of structured preschool. For those families who have used the afternoon enrichment in the past and are concerned about the new cost structure, here is a comparison of the two. Please contact the school should you have any questions. A full day preschool schedule will be available soon.
Morning preschool with afternoon enrichment:
5 half days = $2835/yr
5 enrichment afternoons at $15/each for 180 days: $2700
Total paid for the year: $5535/year
All day preschool:
5 full days: $5670/year
Difference between the two scenarios: $135
This comparison is to help families better understand the impact of these changes and the minimal cost difference between 5 full days with the enrichment, and 5 full days under the new program structure.

Other Information
All preschool/Young 5's students wear uniforms-see the dress code for information.
All preschool/Young 5's students will have the opportunity for snack time and families may purchase hot lunch for full day students.
A full day runs from 7:30 AM to 3 PM (morning drop-off begins at 7:00 AM).
A half day runs from 7:30 AM to 11:15 AM.
Preschool/Young 5's follow the same school year calendar as the rest of the school.
